The
Florida fighting conch is an omnivore that feeds on algae,
detritus and will comsume left over fish food. It's a hardy,
peaceful snail that doesn't prey on other snails or invertebrates
so it's safe for a reef tank. It's an excellent sand sifter that
buries in the sand bed in search of food and for protection from
predation. They are most active at night. The fighting conch can
grow quite large in the aquarium to about 5" when mature. We
offer smaller sized specimens that are between 1-2".
