This
is a smaller species of Laurencia that is found on hard
bottom habitats to depths of up to 65 ft. It's native to both
the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico in Florida. This species prefers
slightly cooler water temps in the mid to high 70's so it's not
easily obtained so is somewhat rare. It features club shaped
branches that form a tight clump. Each branch is slightly
rounded at the tip and often exhibits an iridescent
blue-greenish-purple coloration.
We offer a single
specimen that is
2-3" in diameter.
